#womenwhoshouldnotbeforgotten is an online project – a 21st century feminist re-interpretation of a baroque “cabinet of curiosities”. I started it in January of 2019 in order to be able to share my interests with an audience beyond the realms of a physical theater space.
The project looks at feminist subjects and shares special finds through the female gaze, while also shining light on forgotten women from history and fiction. Additionally, it addresses its audience through a combination of visuals and text (in a bilingual – English and German – format) and is deeply rooted in my research-based approach to artistic work. The goal of #womenwhoshouldnotbeforgotten is to invite and encourage its audience to look at the world through an alternative lens.
